ICC Belfast had the privilege of welcoming over 850 surgeons from across the UK for three days in March for their annual conference. Delegates had the opportunity to attended a fabulous gala dinner at City Hall where the Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast delivered the opening speech and then enjoy the buzz of Belfast's bustling city centre later that evening.
We had a great time in the Cathedral Quarter and met some extremely friendly people along the way. A lot of people we spoke to were also travelling for either business or leisure!
Ryan Kerstein, Trainee Plastic Surgeon
The conference saw a 21% increase in delegate numbers and boasted the best attendance on a Sunday in ASiT conference history. The feedback received from both ASiT members and exhibitors has been nothing but positive and we look forward to welcoming delegates back to Belfast in the future.
Belfast was utterly fantastic, I would come back in a heartbeat. The city is the perfect size, with everything easy to get to, beautiful scenery and architecture, interesting history and so much to do!
Gemma Humm, Immediate Past President at ASiT
For breakfast, our in-house catering partners served pork sausage and caramelised onion relish to enjoy with free range scrambled egg and slow roasted tomatoes as well as freshly brewed coffee, tea and Armagh apple juice. Lunch included a selection of sandwiches in Yellow Door's delicious artisan bread and jam jar salads. A retro biscuit selection was served mid afternoon as something sweet for delegates to enjoy between seminars and discussions.
The quality of food at ICC Belfast is absolutely outstanding. You and your team have done us proud, I can certainly say that it is the best food I have ever eaten at a conference and delegates had so many compliments on the food as well.
Gemma Humm, Immediate Past President at ASiT
Getting to Belfast for our conference was very easy, a short flight from my local airport at a very low cost, followed by a five-minute taxi journey to the ICC Belfast and neighbouring hotels and restaurants made the journey really efficient and appealing to me as a business traveller. I would also highly recommend the use of the conference facilities at ICC Belfast.
