ICC Belfast Recommends - Lunch Spots Edition
ICC Belfast Recommends - Lunch Spots Edition!
Since the good weather is making a comeback with summer just around the corner our team has got together to collate their top recommendations for lunch! It's always nice to get out of the office for a change of scenery on your lunch break especially if you're getting a nice meal out of it.
I'm the type of person that if I bring my own packed lunch to work, I have it all eaten before 12pm so going out for lunch especially now it's good weather is a necessity for me - although my bank account does tend to disagree!
Our team is known for having a celebratory Nando's when we secure a big conference win, so it goes without saying it's at the top of our list. Great food, easy self-service options, no need to split bills, and the food comes in a timely manner - perfect for the hour-long break.
A few honourable mentions from our team included Snax N' The City near the Ulster Hall venue for their amazing Chicken and Vegetable soup and sandwiches. A great option if you don't want a full meal for lunch just something quick, easy and you can eat on the go. If you're in a rush you can always take the sandwich or soup to go and bring it back to the office ti enjoy. Greta if you're on the go also is a Tesco meal deal! Just make sure you're a Clubcard Member to get them for £3 instead of £3.50!
Close to ICC Belfast on Upper Church Lane is The Pocket, which got a special mention from our Production Manager, Danielle, who says everyone needs to try their double espressos and toasted banana bread as a mid-afternoon treat if you're feeling peckish. The Pocket is beside Brittles bar, a great shout for a few drinks after the workday ends also!
It wouldn't be lunch in the office if we didn't give the food old Centra hot food and sandwich deli a shout-out now, would it? They do the best sausage baps and fry's if you're a brunch kind of person. Our Senior Association Account Manager, Eimear has given a special shout-out to their mash, potatoes, roasties and chips with Christmas gravy - perfect carb-fuel for the long days that conferences and events can bring.
Lastly, if you're a connoisseur of the finer things in life, OX Belfast, which boats a Michelin Star is also located just across from ICC Belfast on Oxford Street. Like our partners in Hospitality Belfast, the seasonality of ingredients is a priority at OX. A guaranteed taste sensation, a two-course lunch is available for £30, perfect for a mid-event catch-up with colleagues or friends.
