Tourism Ireland seeks inspirational content initiative

At a time when international visitors aren’t able to travel here as freely as they once enjoyed, Tourism Ireland is rolling out its #FillYourHeartWithIreland (#FYHWI) initiative – sharing inspirational content about the island of Ireland with its millions of fans and followers on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

The campaign aims to ‘keep the lights on’ and maintain a strong presence overseas, to help ensure that the island of Ireland stays front-of-mind with them for future visits. To date, the campaign has achieved significant engagement with those fans and followers – including 143 million impressions!

Tourism Ireland is asking people who have captured great photos and videos, while out and about around the island of Ireland this summer, to share that content – so that Tourism Ireland can, in turn, share it with its international fanbase on social media. Tourism Ireland is also calling on tourism industry operators to get involved, providing content that showcases the health and safety precautions being taken so that when the time comes, we’ll once again welcome international visitors with open arms to our exciting destination for holidays and business events.

Northern Ireland is home to some of the island’s most picturesque spots. Built by giants, the spirit can be felt everywhere; in the roar of waves crashing on the shoreline, in the tranquillity of the lakelands, in the views that take your breath away and in the bustling nightlife of the cities. Thrilling experiences and warm welcomes await our visitors as they become immersed in our rich cultural heritage for an experience that stays with them for a lifetime.

Together with partners across the city, we ensure that when conference delegates visit Belfast for business events that their social schedule is jam-packed, encompassing the best of Belfast and Northern Ireland.
