Time to celebrate Nomadic Watches
Nomadic Watches create a bespoke timepiece to celebrate Van Morrison's 80th birthday

Nomadic Watches – an independent watch company from Belfast – have unveiled a striking installation of its iconic Maraí 401 timepiece at the Waterfront Hall, one of the city’s most recognisable entertainment venues.
For over 25 years, the Waterfront Hall has been a cornerstone of live entertainment, hosting global icons such as Blondie, Neil Diamond, One Direction and Snow Patrol, and attracting more than 300,000 visitors annually. This November, it will add to that legacy by welcoming one of the most influential artists of all time, Bob Dylan.
Rob McConnell, Chief Executive of ICC Belfast, Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall, said: “We are delighted to partner with Nomadic Watches at the Waterfront Hall as they celebrate their fourth anniversary."
Their commitment to craftsmanship and heritage mirrors the pride we share in this city, and this collaboration is a perfect synergy between our brand and theirs.
The partnership also coincided with a milestone moment for Van Morrison, one of Belfast’s most successful artists. The legendary musician marked his 80th birthday this month with a special Celebration Concert at the Waterfront Hall. To honour this occasion, Nomadic created a bespoke timepiece to celebrate Van Morrison’s 80th birthday.

Limited to just 80 pieces, the watch has been built on the Turas 914 case, known for its durability and timeless aesthetic, and features a custom black dial with Van Morrison’s signature. The rotor also has a bespoke design, paying tribute to his iconic Fedora hat. Each watch was individually numbered, with watch No. 1 donated to the Van Morrison Foundation. The 80th watch in the series was presented as a gift to Van Morrison himself, while the remaining pieces were made available to purchase from 31 August on the Nomadic Watches website.
Commenting on the limited-edition watch, Peter McAuley, Founder of Nomadic Watches said:
Collaborating with the Waterfront Hall and Van’s team to create a limited-edition watch for his 80th birthday has been a pinch-me moment.
"The design features a unique touch, with Roman numerals inspired by the font from Van’s 2025 album Remembering Now - a fitting tribute to a timeless icon whose music continues to inspire generations.”
