ROLE SUMMARY

With a long history of supporting world class music and arts, the strategic focus in recent years has been on promoting ICC Belfast to a global audience to position the City of Belfast as a destination for business events and conferences. BWUH has now embarked on its five-year strategic plan and has ambitious plans to contribute significantly to the growth of the local economy.

As Executive Assistant, the successful candidate will provide business-critical support and assistance and serve as a liaison between the Chief Executive, Head of Governance & Stakeholder Engagement and key stakeholders including Board members, clients, customers and patrons. They will support a variety of special projects including creating business presentations, company reports, and agenda material.

Working closely with Board level stakeholders, Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership team, the Executive Assistant will retain a high level of confidentiality in recording and communicating information in a professional and articulate manner.

The successful candidate will display a high degree of emotional intelligence, exceptional attention to detail and be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant at C-Suite level within a fast-paced, commercial organisation.
  • Proven capability to operate in a pressurised environment, requiring discretion, tact, diplomacy, and judgement when dealing with internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with highly confidential information and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. High-level of written and spoken English language communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of new technology/social media in engaging community/user base.
