ENVIRONMENTAL
We believe that people, prosperity and the planet should be part of every business decision to leave a lasting positive impact on our environment and society. To do this, we need to lead by example. That’s why we offer a variety of employment opportunities through our partnership with Work+, we work closely with our suppliers to drive real, sustainable environmental change and were the first Green Meetings Gold certified venue on the island of Ireland.
Overall, it is our goal to reduce the environmental impact of our business through the adoption and promotion of sustainability principles, providing a safe and sustainable environment for our team, clients and customers, as well as to our communities.
SOCIAL
In order to be world-class, we need build a culture that is open, safe and inclusive. We do this by improving the quality of life for employees by offering them the opportunity to grow and thrive with structured training and development in a motivating work environment. We continually invest in our venue and its facilities to ensure we are providing the best environment and tools for all employees.
We are committed to operating in an ethical and responsible way and support our local communities by investing in projects that give back to the areas we work in. Through The People’s Kitchen, ICC Belfast is also helping to tackle food poverty and homelessness in Northern Ireland.
GOVERNANCE
Effective governance helps ICC Belfast achieve its strategic goals and manage risks by balancing the interests of the company’s varied stakeholders. Lead by a selected Board who take a multi-stakeholder approach that includes the perspectives of its members, Belfast City Council, Tourism Northern Ireland, policy makers and employees.
Topics of discussion include accountancy standards, risk management, cyber security, whistleblowing, anti-bribery, and corruption.
